Lacquering metal is an attempt to freeze time, enclosing raw brass and copper inside a sterile plastic skin. We reject this.
Our creations are left completely unlacquered, exposed to the air and the touch of their custodians. Over years, the oxygen, humidity, and touch of human hands will slowly transform the metal, developing a rich, dark brown and golden-green patina. This surface oxide is not a blemish; it is a living record of the instrument's journey, showing the seasons it has witnessed and the hands that have wound its gears.
